Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our IT service management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in customizing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will work with stakeholders to design, build, and optimize ServiceNow applications and services to meet business requirements, improve efficiency, and support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
• Work with ITSM (IT Service Management), ITOM (IT Operations Management), and other ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
• Customize ServiceNow forms, workflows, and UI elements using scripting languages like JavaScript, Glide API, and other ServiceNow technologies.
• Develop and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other business systems (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, third-party tools).
• Configure and customize ServiceNow Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Virtual Agent functionalities.
• Create reports, dashboards, and performance analytics to track service levels and business KPIs.
• Provide technical expertise in implementing best practices for ServiceNow development, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in ServiceNow applications and integrations.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality.
• Collaborate with other teams (IT, security, business stakeholders) to ensure proper implementation of ServiceNow workflows and automation.
• Maintain ServiceNow instances, patches, and upgrades, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Provide training and support to end users and administrators for ServiceNow processes.
• Stay up to date with new ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with hands-on experience in ServiceNow customization and development.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and others).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, etc.).
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, and other integration tools.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how they are implemented in ServiceNow.
• Experience with ServiceNow's data model, configuration management, and application development.
• Knowledge of security protocols and role-based access management within ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow reporting tools (Performance Analytics, reports, dashboards).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules (Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Experience with IT operations management and cloud technologies.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Advanced ServiceNow Configuration
