Role Description
Job Summary
As a SAP Functional Consultant – FICO, you will leverage your expertise in SAP Finance modules to deliver high-quality solutions that align with client business needs. Your role will involve the end-to-end implementation of SAP FICO modules, including gathering requirements, designing configurations, overseeing custom development, and providing post-implementation support. You will serve as a key advisor to stakeholders, ensuring financial processes are optimized and aligned with industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration and implementation experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in the design and configuration of SAP FICO modules, with a focus on full-cycle implementations.
• Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting concepts and standards, with prior experience in high-tech or software industries preferred.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations effectively.
• Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus, along with expertise in managing integrations with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and mentor junior consultants
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document comprehensive requirements for financial and controlling processes.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP FICO solutions, covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Controlling modules.
• Provide detailed conceptual and technical designs, ensuring that solutions align with client business processes and compliance requirements.
• Write detailed functional specifications for custom program developments and work closely with technical teams to oversee development and deployment.
• Plan and execute testing activities, including integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Coordinate the transportation of configurations and custom developments from the development environment to production.
• Deliver post-go-live support and resolve any system issues, ensuring business continuity.
• Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders, clearly communicating solutions, project progress, and impact.
• Stay updated on new features of SAP S/4HANA and other emerging technologies to recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
